Cancellation & Modification Policy

At Skårungen, we understand that travel plans can change. To ensure clarity and fairness for all guests, cancellation and modification terms depend on the rate selected at the time of booking and the booking channel used.

In the event of any difference between these general terms and the specific conditions attached to a selected rate, promotion, package, or booking channel, the specific conditions applicable to the reservation shall prevail.

Direct bookings (Skårungen Website, Email or Telephone)

Flexible Rate

Reservations booked under a Flexible Rate may be cancelled or modified free of charge up to 7 days prior to arrival.

For cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the full reservation amount will be charged.

Non-Refundable rate

Reservations booked under a Non-Refundable Rate are not eligible for cancellation, modification, or refund under any circumstances.

By selecting a Non-Refundable Rate, the guest agrees that the full reservation amount will be charged and retained regardless of cancellation date, no-show, early departure, travel disruption, weather conditions, transportation delays, illness, visa issues, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Bookings through third-party channels

Reservations made through third-party channels, including but not limited to Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, or other booking platforms, are subject to the cancellation and modification conditions selected and accepted at the time of booking.

The cancellation policy applicable to your reservation will be displayed during the booking process and included in your booking confirmation.

Guests should refer to the confirmation received from the booking provider for the exact terms applicable to their reservation.

Skårungen cannot modify, override, or replace the cancellation conditions agreed upon between the guest and the booking provider at the time of booking.

Group reservations

A group is defined as 15 or more paying guests or a minimum of 5 accommodation units.

Group reservations may be subject to separate payment, deposit, modification, and cancellation terms, which will be specified in the quotation, agreement, or confirmation provided for the group booking.

Refunds

Where a reservation is eligible for a refund under the applicable booking conditions, refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests obtain adequate travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including illness, injury, family emergencies, flight cancellations, transportation disruptions, weather events, or other situations that may affect travel plans.

Personal circumstances, transportation disruptions, weather conditions, airline cancellations, illness, visa issues, or other events outside Skårungen's control do not alter the cancellation conditions applicable to the reservation.
